Yep – even more reason to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator….you get a FREE stamp set when you sign up during salebration. The starter kit is amazing value and you get to customise the stuff that makes up your kit. Unlike many companies, there is no penalty if you decide to drop your demonstratorship anywhere down the track. Becoming a demonstrator has amazing benefits. I have been a demonstrator for over 5 years, still hold my full time job and run a busy family. It is possible….I am a ‘small’ operator compared to some but I have managed to pay for my extensive Stampin’ Up! collection using the money I have made as a demonstrator. I’d be more than happy to talk to you about how that can be true for you or if you want to ‘just do it’, you can actually join up online here today, at my demonstrator website. There is also plenty of information there on the ‘join the fun’ tab. If you’d like to chat about joining up – e-mail me at sharon@lvh.com.au and I’ll guide you through the questions you have….

Same, same but different

Same, same but different

Last night whilst we were crafting (I was joined by my sister – fun, she is usually doing other things and Donna, a lovely stampin’ friend), Nicole made her version of my card. My cards are often dreamt up in my head and sometimes they don’t quite come out as planned. It was cool to see her twist on the card (which i love just as much…). I thought I’d share it (she was making the card for a friend’s birthday she will celebrate on Monday night).

She has placed the butterfly in the corner so you can see the lovely stamped image (which by the way is stamped on textured cardstock which gives an even greater distressed feel….) much more clearly.

I love her inside…..where she has actually rolled the edge of the floral paper to give an interesting texture…..and her envelope is just gorgeous……..hmm, might need to make a few more of these to send out…….

I have another ‘salebration’ card in my head that I will try and ‘release’ in the next few days…..along with some more calendars……don’t forget to drop me a line if you’d like a salebration catalogue

Tonight I had a liitle play with the new products that will be available as FREE giveaways during Salebration. If you order $100 worth of product during the period of 24th January until 31st of march, you can pick a product that is exclusively available for qualifying customers. You can also earn free products if you hold a qualifying workshop during this period as well. If you sign up as a new demonstrator during this time, then you can earn additional product on top of your starter kit. If you would like a copy of the brochure that details the free sets and papers and even embellishment packs, then drop me a line at sharon@lvh.com.au and I will organise getting one to you. The card shown below is one that you can make during this period if you so desire…..contact me to find out how……

This makes use of two of the stamp sets on offer, the DSP pack as well as the embellishment pack. I have one group of ladies in mind for this one already but can make this with you if you are local……

I decorated the inside………naturally!!

I made effective use of the distressing kit with this card, making use of the tea stain ink and distressing files…..

Finished up another calendar today…..

Finished up another calendar today…..
Finished up another calendar today…..

……..for the surgery. Remember these? These are a flip calendar that was inspired by a picture that one of my trusty stampin’ friends, Liz, sent me through ages ago. My Dad whipped up some frames and I designed a calendar to go with it. I have shown you the calendar before but I finally photographed the pages of the original one, right before it was given away as a Christmas present. So, I thought I would share the pages with those who might want to whip one up……

These were put together within a couple of hours, given that I precut everything. Now the supplies I put together were simply a pack of my favourite DSP (which can effectively make 8 calendars if you have done what I did here), coordinating stamp set and I used a few sheets of the Newsprint DSP (which is really a must have in every stash). You only need 6 pages (one side for each month, so is only 1.5 12in sheets). I do have a couple of ‘frames’ still left here (as well as the calendar tabs), but would be very bulky to mail, so if you are local (I am at Camden NSW) and would like a frame, drop me an e-mail and maybe I can help you out……..Each of my pages is 6 in square (to use the frames I have left, you may need to cut down to 5.5″ square as they a tad narrower).

Simply adorable and adorned!

Simply adorable and adorned!
Simply adorable and adorned!

The gorgeous jewellery items that Stampin’ Up! have available in their mini catalogue truly are adorable. I splashed out and got my eldest daughter a pile of baubles and a bracelet and small circular charm to create herself a personal bracelet. She loves them and we look forward to having some fun creating the cute little stamped images that will fill the magnetic frame.

I was most impressed with how they are shipped. Each and every item is placed in a gorgeous little box and shipped to look like it is worth a million $$, but instead make a lovely, affordable gift.

Each attachable item comes with a crab claw clasp, which means it can added and removed easily from anything. The gorgeous crowns and keys (available in the main catalogue) would also make cute attachments (something I will get Cait near her birthday to ‘bulk’ out her charm bracelet).

These are only available (at this stage) in the current mini catalogue , I personally can’t wait to get hold of the necklace with the larger framed pieces . If you would like to collect some of these pieces, then check out the catalogue here and pop me an e-mail at sharon@lvh.com.au and grab yourself a piece of jewelley you can personalise.

For my new scrapbook

For my new scrapbook

I thought I would share with you a photo that will be included in a new scrapbook I am putting together throughout 2012. My girls and I have undertaken the task of starting a project life scrapbook, chronicling the everyday events of our life for the year – completing a double page layout for each week. We have been taking photos and I have already done the first layout, now to just keep up with it……will see how it goes.  We did some cleaning out here at home today and Cait baked these this afternoon and we remembered to take a picture before they were gobbled up…..I will take a picture of the layout when I get a chance….

Magnetic calendars

Magnetic calendars
Magnetic calendars

I have just made a batch of these magnetic calendars for my husband to hand out to his clients at work. They contain his details on the back and two magnets that secure the calendar to fridge or a filing cabinet. These are so easy to make up using the two tags die – one of the best dies in my collection – magnificent tags for Christmas, amazing personalised bookmarks and the list goes on…….. I run a piece of scrap cardstock (very vanilla) through along with a piece of patterned paper (I used up some of my extensive collection of retired DSP). Passes through some coordinating ribbon and tied a button onto the ribbon tag using some bakers twine 9available in the current mini – lovely fine, cotton thread).
