Something to make you smile…….

fishyfriendsup.jpg

This just makes me smile………I love this fishy friends set! I use it for kids cards but also just for the fun cards you like to send off to friends who aren’t doing a lot of smiling………

This one has some hodgepodge on it with some gold organdy ribbon as well as some red gingham and is coloured using the watercolour crayons and the aqua painter. The whimsical alphabet is used to create the smile and the red cardstock has been run through the crimper and then torn (of course!!!!)

I did this some time ago and it sits in my sample box and creates a smile whenever I flick past it!!!

Ooohhhhh Stampin’ Up has a great special for June that they won’t tell us about just yet. Don’t worry, I’ll let you know as soon as I do!! Gotta go and feed the monsters……stay tuned!

Mothers Day!!!!!

 maddys-heartup.jpg

This beautiful creation on the bottom…..(made by both my girls – aged 6 and 9) was bestowed on me this morning with one eye barely able to make out any light. My kids couldn’t wait to hand over their handiwork and display their discerning mothers day stall shopping skills!

Maddy (the youngest) also produced this spectacular heartshaped creation made in craft at school……….along with the lovely plaster cast clock , that is to be placed on my craft desk (perhaps so I don’t lose track of time??????) now that I have put batteries in it………(apparently I had to be asked ‘too many times!’)

Caitlin adorned me with a special ceramic cow that can be put into my cheese (I do love cheese……) along with a set of frangipani bowls that I can use for the healthy lunches that I intend taking to work(from now on anyway……..) She produced the incredibly tasteful card with the flower arrangement on the front…….

My gorgeous Jared (aged 7) produced the folding card that reveals he does know me very well…….my fav colour is green, I do shop and I do sometimes visit him and tuck him in (especially when he is upstairs rampaging ;-) ). He really has put some effort into this…………..my gift was a lovely white trinket box that he thinks will hold some stamps!!!! What a surprise…………..

My darling eldest, Brendan, (aged13) reminded me of the lack of mother’s day stalls at high school and said he’d be good ;-)   While my very clever husband (and sister who ‘directed’ him) got me the new CK Creative companion, which I am thrilled with. Especially as I’d already bought myself a complete set of Stampin’Up! markers…….oooohhhhh I am lucky and grateful. I’ve enjoyed my mothers day, but do wish that my mum was here to enjoy her’s……………hug your mum today and everyday, you never know when you won’t be able to do it anymore.

While we are on the chrissie theme….

tags-up.jpg….these are some tags I made last christmas…….nice and quick. I did actually make some that got attached to christmas presents. The stamp set used on the rectangular luggage tag was of course from Stampin’Up and is part of Greetings Galore while the flower used on the right was from delight in life (which is not available any longer) these were coloured with the aqua painter and the pastels .. maybe you should start planning your Christmas gift giving traditions and start early on the tags and cards.

If you’d like information about Stampin’ Up’s great Seasonal stamps and accessories, drop me a line in the comment and I will be more than happy to help you out…..perhaps if you live in the south west area of sydney and would like a kick start, contact me about joining a group that can create cards leading up to Christmas…..

Roll out the large man in the red suit!!!!!

Another convention swap……..

chrissie-swap-up.jpg This is another of my swaps……..done in old olive and ruby red. These are embossed (gold) images from the Holiday spirit set and the bottom border with an Only ornaments wheel in old olive ink. This wheel self inks and looks great across a 12 inch scrap page or wheeled to make a background for a card or page……The edges of the card are inked with versamark using direct to paper (fancy name for swiping the card across the inkpad!  LOL). Don’t know whether it’s everyone’s cup of tea…….I kind of like it……….  What do you think? Love some opinions…….

You interested in any of these great products? Remember that you buy Stampin’ Up products by contacting a demonstrator like myself……..you can do that in person, on the phone, with an e-mail, but by far the best way is to hold a workshop for you nad a couple of friends. This means that you can get personalised demonstrations of things you want to see AND get to make stuff AND earn some exclusive stamp sets AND free products (once sales reach $300!)

Sounds good……..leave a comment and I’ll contact you. I have ‘friends’ that hold demos all around Australia!!!!!!  :-)

Convention swaps…..

Seeing spots…….One of the highlights of attending convention is the fabulous social and interesting activity of card swapping. Everyone makes a heap of card fronts that you label with your name and details as well as the things you used to make it. It ultimately allows demonstrators to build samples from current catalogue inventory, especially with the stamp sets that you don’t have. Our customers get to benefit from the variety of samples they can look at a workshops. Here is the first of my swaps…..

To make this I made a background on whisper white cardstock using the Seeing spots stamp set inked in bashful blue and mellow moss. A small panel was made by inking up the On the Spot background with bashful blue. This was mounted on bashful cardstock. The medallion in the middle was made by stamping the flower in the circle with versamark and then rubbing some pastel over the top. This is the popping pastels technique. That was mounted on mellow moss and bashful blue cardstock with the corners removed with the slit punch.Gold brads and pop up dots were used for a bit of pazzazz…….

I only made about a dozen of these , as they were time consuming but they all got swapped and are out there in Stampin’ Up world………I’ve got a couple of others I made that I will publish later in the week.

I’ve got 100 examd to mark and 12 reports to write, better get moving…….hope my boss doesn’t read this LOL!!!!!!!

Happy stamping………..leave me a comment…..please! I will feel loved then! :-)

WOW!!!!!Convention 2007………

What a great couple of days………I have learnt so much and have a million ideas floating in my head! I got to meet the people I chat online to everyday, I learnt some great new techniques and it was jam packed with great stamping tips as well incredible business ideas to help me achieve my goals in Stampin’ Up!!!

Now number one is to make some goals……LOL…..my first is to sign up some demonstrators this year….and NOW is the time with our great special (save $25 on the kit!!) for all of May.

Next goal is not to spend what I make……LOL……that’s so hard because my wish list is so long!

Finally, to make this all happen I have to use my time wisely. I guess that’s a goal we all have. It is time for me to realise it though…….

We got so many great ‘goodies’ which included; a tote bag we can use at workshops, Stampin’ Up pen, Convention pin, workbook, catalogue, 2 stamp sets (Dream come true, Be happy) as well as make and take supplies for 3 projects and a special folder to put them in . AND GUESS WHAT!!! Unlucky me actually won a door prize. They give prizes out a couple of times each day and I was one of the chosen ones (it’s a good omen. Don’t you think???????). I won a spritzer tool and dazzling diamonds and a two way pen……Way Cool!!!!!!!

I will post some pictures from convention soon………….I have some friends that are now shakin’ in their boots PMSL!!!!!!!

Will talk more next week……..Have a good one!

P.S Got any questions about convention….????….leave them as a comment. I will be happy to reply…
