Last nights efforts…..
This stuff was actually completed by my sister…….she has been working on these for some time and last night packaged them up ready to sell…(I’m going to add a christmas tag…..LOL!!)
These are gorgeous christmas decorations made with foam balls, christmas quilting fabric and ribbons. We (as in my sister and mother ) have made these for many years to sell for various good causes and they always go well. This is the first year we have packaged them as such!
This is what they look like in real life………this one is pretty as it has sequins around the outside of the circle. The back is the same…..my 9 year old daughter has started making them….she made pink ones for a friends birthday a couple of months ago. They look great hanging in a tree or from either end of a curtain rod as a different sort of decoration. Each of my kids have one with their names embroidered on one side and the year of their first christmas on the other side!!
This year we have packaged them in chinese food boxes with a clear window in one side and have put some tinsel filler in the botton. We have cut some christmas ribbons to tie along the top and we hope we sell them all at the Camden Public school Fete on the 9th of November. They will be a great gift for someone for a cheap $10…..PS. To all the kids and mums in my sisters class at school…………she doesn’t want one!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
Talk to you all soon……….
Fete ideas again………
These are great to make. I’ve made these totally out of scraps. They are made with scrap cardboard for the pages and thicker cardboard (like the stuff you find on the back of notepads) for the covers and then scrap patterned paper for the covers and scrap ribbon on the binding. The only thing that was bought was the binding wire. I used a bind-it-all to put then together. I plan to decorate the front with silk flowers and the like , but that is a Friday night (my craft night!!) job.
I reckon these will sell like hot cakes. Each one only cost about 40c (other than what we had around) and we can sell them for a few dollars each. The small ones are 4in square and the larger are 5.5in square. I have made divider pages using different colours and then punched matching tabs to attach to make them like mini index books. There are 9 or 10 and these were made in a couple of hours but I’m sure they will make some little boys and girls very happy!!! You can come and buy these at the Camden Public School Fete on the 9th of November (a Friday night) between 4pm and 9pm at my stall……………
Talk to you all again soon…………
Looks like spring but feels like summer!!
Hi guys……..prolific poster at the moment huh!! That’s because I’ve been slack!! How hot is it in Sydney at the moment…….have been out back trying to rescue my pool from the winter blacks and greens and turn it into the crystal blue one I know and love (and I must say it is quite a challenge this year….but that’s a whole other story!).
Just a reminder of this months Stampin’ UP!© SPECIAL offer ………..buy the looks like spring stamp set and the coordinating mega punch (accurately punches the three flowers that match a stamp in the set ! How cool is that?!)and you will receive a set(pick the blue tones or pink ones) of the matching double sided paper for FREE (that is a saving of $16.95). This has to be one of my favourite coordinating ranges……..I use it all the time……

Speaking of which…..here is another ’special card’ that I made with this set. This is another of Beates’ ( found here – http://www.splitcoaststampers.com//resources/crisscrosscard.php )great designs and she has a tutorial on her site that allows you to make cards like this. I think the tutorial is for a landscape (you know……sideways!) version of this card.
You can see in the photo some negative space of the punch for the the flowers that are on the stamp. The large daisy I cut out by hand (wish they’d make a punch for that !
)
Contact me before the end of October to take advantage of this great offer!!
lOOk what I got….!
A great card sent from Alisa! She sent this gorgeous thank you card to ME!!! Ner Ner Ner!!! LOL!!

After the last sad post……
I thought I’d put some photos up of our holiday down the coast…….
This is the gorgeous bay. There is a beach on the other side of the head land with some ‘gnarly’ surf they tell me………LOL!!
This is my eldest and my youngest ‘occupying themselves’ on a walk around the bay.
This is what Jared likes to do…………..harrass the poor crabs……..they move out when they hear we are coming!
This is what I like doing (although that is my sister on the left, Caitlin – eldest DD, Jared and Maddy) down the coast! A whole lot of nothing…….and maybe read a book or two! Ooops musn’t forget drinks are always at 3pm!!
Hope that makes you feel peaceful and relaxed……I do when I look at photos…..
Rest in peace…….
I have just heard the saddest news…..the general manager of Stampin’ Up!© Australia, Dave Abbott passed away yesterday after a long illness. While I have only met Dave once, I was impressed by his presence and dedication to his job. He was a young man who was married to a lovely lady and they have a young family. It is way too soon for his time here on earth to be over. He was dedicated to his job and to his colleagues and the demonstrators he represented.
Stampin’ Up! © are such a great company that they are releasing a special product in November in honour of Dave and the proceeds from the sale of this will go towards helping his family. I really want to help his family by promoting this special gesture. As soon as I know more, I will post the details on here………but for now, I hope his family find some peace and lots of love at this time and I know that Dave will be looking over them and be free from his illness forever……..
Just bllaahhhh stuff…..
Hi guys…..I’m back from holidays and back to work.YUK!!!! But, the exciting news is that my study is pretty clean! SHOCK! HORROR!
I have some great photos to show you and will soon….I promise. I just need to bring my camera downstairs, tidy my computer desktop (well, I’m still not perfect – surprise, surprise) and get 3 minutes to download them and post………3 minutes is hard to find at the moment.
The kids are all good, enjoyed their holiday but aren’t happy to be back to school. Anyway I promise to downloaqd something within the next 24 hours…..maybe after school on Thursday……talk to you then!
Christmas tin for fete…..
Wellllllll the fete cards are going great. We’ve finished the 30 card tins that we will be selling for $10 each on the Friday night, the November 9th at Camden Public School, John St Camden NSW. Here is what they’ll get….
There is a gorgeous Merry Christmas tin, with a hinged lid that can be reused as a gift wrapping. There are 5 different hand stamped cards and envelopes. In the bottom right hand corner you can see 5 gift tags that can be placed on christmas gifts…….all for a measly $10………..We have made 30 of these sets as well as numerous other items. I’ll post some other pictures next week! These were great fun to make. Although we had a couple of ladies who gave us a hand a couple of nights and were shocked that we made 30! of each card (I secretly think they got a little bored!)……I do hope this makes the school lots of money. All materials have been donated by us and others and so anything we make on the night will go straight to the school. Public schools need all the help they can get……so if you are in the area, pop by and grab some handmade gifts, or even better book into a class or two!
Thanks everyone……
Thank you fot your great comments about my cleanup……And you are all right! I do feel like a new woman. I’ve done heaps of stamping since the cleanup……yes I made those 100 vaccination cards. Boy, those animals at our clinic are going to feel classy when they get handed these after their jab! LOL!
You will all be pleased to know…..(I know it’s gotten up DH’s nose….) that I’ve kept it clean….even sweeping up the embossing powder……and washind my stampin’ scrub in the dishwasher. I do feel more organised and definitely more capable and ready to pull apart the whole house……..BUT alas, I have a beach and four kids screaming for attention. So, on Sunday I’m off to the sun and sand for a few days….I will try and get back to post some stuff before I go, but I’ll check in with you all next weekend with some holiday snaps!
Go clean a cupboard out now!! LOL!!!!
I’ve finished….here are the photos……
