I’m the big four ohhhhh………
…never mind, had to be that age some day……to celebrate, my great friend and downline (in that order of course) actually made me a handmade gift. I feel so lucky!! I love handmade things, nothing beats a gift made by a friend, especially for you. She has put a huge amount of effort into this and it takes pride of place on my television in our family room – so I can gaze on it each day to remind me how lucky I am…..
She has bought a beautiful double matted window box frame and has stamped a variety of sprays from the A rose is a rose set, in red riding hood and old olive . She has cut them out and added crystal effects to all the white patches on the stamps so that it adds texture and reflects light. She has then found that lovely saying and mounted it with some lovely half pearls from the pretties kit and has taken advantage of some matching patterned paper to provide a background.
This is even more beautiful in real life……Lana’s work is stunning – you should take a look and notice that she is having a workshop in the Camden area that you are all invited too (on the Sunday evening over the long weekend)…..she still has some room for some more lucky guests, drop her an e-mail and she will book you in…..she has some great sales incentives, give aways, order draw prizes and fantastic projects for everyone to stamp – all this for FREE……..apparently you’ll even get a great cuppachino and cake after all the inkin’ is done LOL!!! Love to see some of you there……

Convention round up for my team!
Today a few members of my team and their guests are getting together to go through the things I learnt at convention. I’m very excited to share my experience with them. I was fortunate to have a couple of people with me at convention and even luckier to have a group that we can share the fun with. My team tries to get together for a stamp and some professional development once a quarter, or when something comes up that we can all benefit from bouncing ideas around about. We will stamp and go through the goodies I have put together (more about them in a minute) for them as well as have some coffee and cake. Those that were not at convention will get a little package that looks like this…..
How cool are these folders? They are actually come all ready, with tabs to pop in a filing cabinet. They are available at woolworths for the princely sum of just $5 for a package of 6. They are quite sturdy and match beautifully with our in colours, baja breeze and kiwi kiss with that old time fave, choc chip.
I have made a belly band for each one using a 2.5in strip of kiwi that (you need 2.5 strips cut from the long side of an A4 piece) you just run through the scallop edge punch. Join them together and then fold around the folder – don’t worry about where the joins are – you’ll never see them.
Then I cut 2x 1.5in strips of baja breeze designer paper and added that to the middle of the belly band – note that it doesn’t come all the way around – leave the gap in the middle at the front. I cut a large whisper white circle (using my nestabilities) and stamped some flowers from the fifth avenue set in baja and kiwi. I added their monogram with choc chip and stamped ‘for you’ on the side. I daubered the edges with baja ink and stuck to large scalloped chip chip circle. I had some choc taffeta left over from the last mini catalogue so I wrapped that around, but am actually thinking double stitched grosgrain would have looked good too. I added a little label on each tab using my choc chip marker or white gel pen, “SU! convention 2009″ and then a clip with a piece of coordinating ribbon to the top edge of the folder………they all look good enough to eat and I can’t tell you how much fun they were to make.
The members of my team that were at convention actually got a little covered book (see the posts below) so they now will all have a hand stamped gift. The little box you see above is the gift I have for one of the demonstrators from my second level. I’ll show what is inside that a little later (after she has it of course).
The photo on the right is the package I have made up for each. They have some copies of the photos I took of samples that were on display at convention. I have also included a set of my notes typed up so they are neat and legible…….interestingly it was a good idea to do this as it has cemented some new ideas I picked up at convention and given me a new drive to try them out (good tip for some of the other demos that went..). I have also copied the sheets from the make and takes we did, we’ll look at the samples and have a go at making a couple here. Finally I included a swap that I made and never swapped – I know, I’m hopeless. I’m actually quite driven at these things – love the learning experience, convention really is a credit to SU! they could teach some teaching staff a thing or two about developing new ideas and motivation in a large group of people LOL!!
Anyway – need to go and bake a cake for us to gobble up later LOL………..just thought you might like to know what happens at some of the team meetings around the traps…….oh, and remember just DAYS left on the great promotion to sign up for just $150…….you NEED to e-mail me today to get the ball rolling on that one!!

Time for some stampin again…..
……anyone who is still interested in the businessy stuff can take a look at the post below. LOL!!! While I didn’t get many swaps done for convention I did do some convention stamping. I made swaps but unfortunately didn’t realise that most swapped out on the Thursday night while I was stuffing my face with my first meal in about 36 hours. In the lead up to convention it seemed that Jared (my youngest son) and I picked up a bug (although I am now thinking he has a appenicitis……). We were both under the weather and there were a few hours that I thought I wouldn’t be getting there.
Ok , back to the stamping LOL!! I made my guest a gift, along with another member of my team who made it to convention. I have good pictures of my guests gift and I will check the other photos later.
I decorated an on board journal with bella rose patterned paper, even covering some chipboard with it. I stamped the A rose is a rose stamps and cut out and adhered to the front.I used some of the great ribbon originals and generally quickly covered a book that she could use to record her notes and memories from convention. I then had to package the gift and remembered I had a couple of handbag boxes in my cupboard, so I decorated to match, made a gift tag that I wrote a message on the back of and voila…..a very cute little gift I say…………I think they both liked them. The other is the same in a different colour theme….pinks and browns………
Don’t forget that you can purchase this paper along with others and get the fourth pack free ….check out the details here and then e-mail me with your request. (sharon@lvh.com.au) And if you’d like a cool gift like this at next years convention then come join my team for just $150 outlay!!!!

Just getting back from canberra…..Getting on with business……..YOUR BUSINESS
Stampin’ Up!© is great! Convention is great! All the other demonstrators are great!
There is absolutely no drawbacks to the decision I made to join Stampin’ Up! way back in October 2006. I have absolutely no regrets.
I have just returned from a great weekend away with Lana , my guest, from my third SU! convention. I feel inspired and have many, many new things I wish to achieve. I feel energised and invigorated to share my love of stamping…in so many ways. I have learnt so much, as I have from all three conventions. The presenters, both professional from Australia, New Zealand and the US …….. and the demonstrators that were also asked to contribute…… were all great. I have seen some amazing stamping work and am inspired to fill my sample box and design my class samples right this minute. I will have to wash and cook dinner though first. The most amazing thing of all………..we will all get to do this again in 12 months time. This time I had Lana along with me, next time I’d love to have a table full of downlines with me as well. Why? So we can share and learn together….help each other get the most out of this experience. That is my biggest goal…….to walk into convention next year with my team and share a great fun learning experience together.
Would you like to join me? I’d love to have you…….. whether you like making cards and would like to order materials at a discount, whether you would like to have a part time business like me or whether you want a full time business like many other successful demonstrators…..Stampin’ Up! can provide us with all the opportunity we need.
There is a special for those who sign up this month………just $150 {that is so much cheaper than I think we will ever see this again}………his will entitle you to the special scrapbooking starter kit.(which includes a simple scrappin kit of your choice, an inkpad of your choice and alphabet stamp set of your choice, a mixed pack of 12in cardstock and a pair of craft and rubber scissors ALONG with all the business stationary and forms you will need …….)
This is so designed for those who have already purchased SU! product before or those who want to get started with the lowest base price possible……….
This offer is available until the end of MAY!!! You will need to move quickly, so if you would like more information about becoming a demonstrator and joining in with all the fun next year and the millions of minutes of fun we will have in between, contact me today!! My e-mail addresss is sharon@lvh.com.au…….I can arrange to send you some additional information, or we could always meet for a coffee!!
I have plenty to show you and share with you from Canberra……and customers will be getting some great product tips in the newsletter coming your way soon…..stay tuned!!
