Catching up with some friends….

linda and nessThis is a long weekend in NSW and I spent last evening catching up with some friends….we all have birthdays within a couple of weeks of one another. It was great to just sit back and relax. I made a cute little gift for each using my current fave set , fifth avenue floral and using my new fave colour scheme, basic gray, kiwi kiss and baja breeze. I did throw in some basic black too. The little box……..well don’t forget the blog candy comp available about this cute container below……

The two cards are both embossed, the card base has the images from the set clear embossed onto it . The card on the left has the daisy images clear embossed onto the baja and then watercoloured with baja ink and craft white……The one on the right has the images rocked into versamark (so it only appears some places) and then the colour before adding heat and stick powder (which will just stick where the versamark was) . Once this was melted with the heat gun, I then sprinkled on some dazzling diamonds glitter. The right edge of the white strip has a scalloped kiwi border and a knot tied in basic grey taffeta ribbon which is wrapped around the cardfront. The other ribbon (the black one) is a textured black suede ribbon, part of the ribbon originals. These look very effective together and quite an elegant colour combination if I say so myself LOL..

If you would like to learn some great techniques using this stamp set, drop me a line and I can prolly organise getting together with you and some friends and teach some great embossing techniques using this one stamp set. Drop me a line at

Enjoy the rest of your weekend…
