Fabulous mini launch……….Part 1

………..spent with just fabulous people!! Thank you to everyone of you that visited Lana and I (and my very fab sister, Nicole) . We all had a great time and the whole afternoon was a great success. It has actually given Lana and I some great ideas fo some stamping events in the future. The first will actually be in October making a project that sparked plenty of interest on the day……….we will give you more details on that very, very soon.

mini launch card wallThis was the ‘card wall’ that you can see here – with all Lana and my sample cards and special projects on display. This was popular for questions and just getting inspiration…a few cameras went off here. As you may remember, this event was held at our Vet practise in Liverpool. We are lucky enough to have an area that is really just used as a storage are/lunch room that is fitted out just like a shop and allowed two adjoining rooms for stamping. The card wall was displayed in the area that Lana worked with customers to make a very cute gift card wallet that they can use for those cool gift cards we tend to give for presents. this project is so adaptable for all sorts of occasions. Here is a picture of one group making their wallets…..see their happy shining faces…….mini - the girls with cardsheee heeee heeeeeee aren’t they just gorgeous…… Speaking of Christmas, we had lots of ideas on display in the ‘mini display area’.

mini ski slope shelfHere you can see some samples made with both the Ski Slope designer paper and the tree trimmings stamp set. I even scrapbooked…..it was such fun, I forgot just how much I enjoy scrapping……The willow tree had Christmas baubles made from punched circles and bows tied in the matching ribbon. The scrapbooking page deserves a close up – it has some glitz and glamor that I will come back and show you again later…..

tree trimmings shelf 2Here you can see the other Christmas display that highlighted the BEST ribbon ever……..it is extra wide, extra soft and pliable riding hood red striped grosgrain.

We actually have some ’shares’ left in our ribbon and ski slope share if you are interested………e-mail me at sharon@lvh.com.au to find out how you can try out a sample of the ribbon and the designer paper is available in a pack of 6 sheets with the matching cardstock.

Will give you a breather and then update you with some more displays we had on the day……… stay tuned

The end of freedom…….and sneak peak 2!!

It is the last day of holidays for me today and while I have achieved so much, it seems that it is never enough. That’s the one thing I’d like to change about myself….learning that sometimes I have done/ have enough!! Never mind…….I am being philosophical at the moment…my professional life leaves me with a lot to be desired and I need to find a way out of the dark mist I work in………I could be happy being home every day but that won’t pay the mortgage……so instead, let’s look at a Christmas card…yep – my first for 2009 and I think I have found the design that will feature in my mailings this year…I love this so much. The simplicity is a pleasant change…..enough is definitely enough here. With this gorgeous new ribbon you need a simple design. The ribbon and ornaments are features from the new mini catalogue and I think both are just grand. The ribbon is so soft and as you can see forms a lovely knot there in the centre. The colours used are vanilla, red riding hood, old olive and baja breeze…..a great chrissy combination…don’t forget the launch….come touch this one and see what I mean when I say it is soft!! All these sneak peeks and plenty more will be on display for you too paw over, as well as an opportunity to make two things for yourself…..

Team meeting on Sunday…..

Hey everybody… I am having a team get together here at my house on Sunday afternoon at about 2pm. Anyone in the Camden area is free to join us…..What do we do? Well those demonstrators in my team received an e-mail about a month again informing them of our gathering. We try and get together at least once a quarter……..the agenda this time has been directed by members of my team….here goes

1. Discussing the new mini catalogue starting in August – this includes organising a team swap and team embellishment shares.

2. Stamp a stacks….what are these and how are they run. We will have a general discussion about different ways these can be utilised in our business and for just stamping with friends.

3. How much money do I make on each order?…….This will be a bit of maths fun. I have organised a worksheet {pays to have some teacher skills….PMSL} that we will work through together to help everyone understand the money they can make from each order.

4. Make and take – technique for this one is the watercoloured roses that are very popular at the moment using the fifth avenue set. I have just finished designing this and will show you all a picture on Monday, once the girls have made them.

I encourage my girls to bring along a friend and we usually finish up with a chat and a mugachino made by my personal barista….

If you’d like to join us it is not too late…..just pop me an e-mail and I will send you my address details………

Thanks everyone for stopping by…..,

Sharon xxxxxxxxxx

Class for July

cardboxcardsThese very cute little cards are a snap to make, as is the gorgeous box. I have been making these as hostess gifts and we also made a box of these at my stamp club gathering last Friday night.

I have decided to offer this as a class during July. So…..if you are interested in whipping one of these up and learning the secrets to this easy peasy gift, then pop me an e-mail and I can let you know the dates these will be running. I run these from my table here at home in Camden on the outskirts of Sydney.

Course Description - You will be using the fresh cuts stamp set , along with the fresh cuts notes to create 4 coordinating cards along with matching stamped envelopes. You will also construct a box, with a magnetic closure that houses the cards or could be used as a gift box. (Colours will vary – at this stage the colours offered in class will be the incolours – baja breeze, riding hood red, kiwi kiss and pink pirouette, with a pink and kraft box)

Cost - $20 including a template for the box (so you can go home and make heaps of them) and all materials to complete one box. Also includes a cup of THE BEST coffee in Camden, made by personal barista AKA ‘my fab sister’, served with a piece of cake!!

Classes will be scheduled on Friday nights or Weekend days, e-mail sharon@lvh.com.au for the list of dates that these will run (there is also a school holiday date as well). The class will take about 2 hours , including the cuppa.

Requirements - adhesive and preferably a scorer and cutter (if not, I can supply these for a few participants).

First in, best dressed. Places are limited, as are the dates I can run this…..looking forward to seeing you all in a class soon.

Invites…..some for my downlines and some for you!! Yes, you!!

invites-up2 These are the invites I’ve just finished. What are they for? They are to invite my downlines to a little get together to plan for 2009, especially convention. Convention is exciting and whether they attend or not there will lots of information that they will get to help their businesses from convention. I will take copious notes and have meeting straight after so we can all benefit from the things taught by the amazing presenters from here and from the US home office. If they do attend they will get the added bonus of the social connections thaey will make, the great stamping fun we have as well as a great dinner together – a chance to dress to the nines and just sit back and cheer on all those girls and guys who have achieved great things throughout the year.

An invite for you? Well on the afternoon of the 8th of February, at 2pm (will go to approx 4pm) I am holding a workshop here at my home that I’m inviting you all to. If you can make it to Camden on that day, contact me and you can join in the fun for FREE, yep – no cost, I just ask you RSVP so that I make enough goodies for us to share over our cuppa. We will be making some great valentines projects that can be used for valentines day or converted to birthday celebrations……up to you. If you’d like to join us, perhaps check out some of the FREE salebration stamps on offer, then drop me a line to sharon@lvh.com.au.
