This is what we made last night at Stamp club………..along with enjoying a nice new sparling wine find, that we will all be enjoying again throughout the next couple of months. This was our last get together for 2009 and we finished with making one sheet wonder cards. We stamped half an A4 sheet with the tree trimmings set – all over the sheet and then drew in some hanging strings using a quilting ruler (fabulous because it has lots of reference lines and it is see through, so you can keep the hanging strings straight) and a grey marker. We then chopped it up and whacked it onto some real red cards and used some scraps and a mixture of Christmas sentiments to create three very different, simple and effective cards. This concept can be extended to any sort of cards – these designs look great with a floral all over stamp design.
Are you interested in joining a new stamp club group I will start in 2009. This current one has 5/6 members and they get together each month for a natter and a stamp. I am starting another group that will meet on Friday evenings once a month………..generally you just pay for the projects – rarely over $10 and you are free to pop in an orders fo stuff you may need, or better still fall in love with.
Those who seriously want to increase their stash, could join our stash and stamp club where you commit (along with others) to spending $50 a month for six months (or we could go alternate months) and one month, you would earn yourself a heap of freebies (so everyone in the group gets a chance to earn some free stuff throughout the year). We meet each month and make projects such as those shown above, share a coffee and bickie and place our orders……….Attendance at the class isn’t compulsory, you are able to just place an order if you can’t make it. This is designed for those who are already addicted to Stampin’ Up!, but allows you to spread out your purchases, as well as earning free stuff, and also for those just starting out, allowing you to build your stash.
I’d like to get this going early in the year, so we can take advantage of salebration where anyone who spends over $100 gets a FREE stamp set – I’ve seen a sneak preview, and they are to die for!!! If you have an interest in joining a stamp club for 2010 and particularly if you are within travelling distance of Camden, pop me an e-mail and tell me what you are interested in……..we can start a Stamp and Stash club once we have 6 members….and we can do a monthly or every second month version if we get enough interested.
E-mail me at email@example.com to express your interest.
