Here is my latest sweet treat invention…….this uses an idea that has been utilised heaps – turning them into snow globes. While the other side of the SU! world is swathed in snow we are sweltering in the heat – 40°C here today and getting hotter!
With that in mind I had to make an Aussie snow globe – with a little fishy sneaking a peak out through the glittery globe….think of little other famous little aussie fishy…..LOL!!
I have actually added a small amount of glycerol (or glycerine as it is otherwise known) to the mix (about 1 tablespoon to 1/4 cup of water is enough). When you add it, it will go cloudy until it completely dissolves. The glitter added is a mix of dazzling diamonds and the chunky blue and green glitter. The chunky glitter drops to the bottom quickly but the dazzling diamonds just drop slowly – which is what the glycerol does…..slows down it’s movement through the globe.
I am making this cut 10.5cm square card with my stamp club members next month…………..we still have a few spots……..just e-mail me – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Oh – the sentiment is from a FREE salebration set – e-mail and I’ll send you a brochure!!
