Card two, from batch three LOL!!

Ok…feels like I’m baking brownies……that’s been happening here too, while I craft, my sister has been cooking upa storm…..we just said today that we feel like Martha!!

This card….made on a soft suede base and I discovered this looks great with gold embossed images. The soft suede looks like a burnished gold……so I cut the DSP up (Christmas cocoa) and mounted on white to give a crisp clean look. Tied some retired soft suede ribbon around the card (love using up stuff that takes up room on my shelf…..boy can I afford to order up big in salebration next month!!). The sentiment from the so swirly set is embossed in gold on the bottom right hand corner. The tree is embossed on white cardstock and then mounted on a piece slightly larger to add to the clean look.

Can’t tell from the picture, but I think I added a basic rhinestone to the top of the tree.

Inside this card also had a piece of white cardstock embossed with a gold snow flake stamp from the same set. The sentiment comes from the same set (oooohhhh a So Swirly card from beginning to end) and is stamped using soft suede ink.

The success of this card is in the repeated elements – snow flakes that make up the tree image, the background paper and the insert. It also helps to keep colours simple….white soft suede and gold…….simple!!
