Long time no hear….

churchIt has been a long time……I have been crafting….maybe not as much as I have done, but my craft table does get used……I just need to find the time to post my creations….or take the photo before they head out the door.

I have a lovely picture that reminds me of a very special weekend I had recently. I spent the weekend at the central coast with good friends (no family…….just me….) celebrating the marriage of one. It was weekend that turned into something far more special than I thought it would and it was a well earned break from all things ‘normal’. I have been caring for sick family members for most of this year and so it was nice to get away for a break and drink some ‘jungle juice’……..Now that is a whole other story…… I promise to come back and share some crafting shots soon…..

A birthday treat…

Here is a cute birthday treat for a friend…….a carry all which fits some mini milk bottles in it and then these were filled with fun stuff, paper straws, some flowers and buttons.

The card is a bit hard to see in the photo so I will put another closer image below.

Well surprise surprise…..

……………I still know my password and user name to get into this blog………just as well. I also managed to uncover the camera cable…….who knew! I guess that means I can share a couple of projects that have graced my stamping desk over the past months……no promises, but I may even post more than once this year. I know, promises promises!!

Image…………..a birthday card, set for a friend of my daughters. I still can’t get over that Aviary has gone……this would work for any group of images, florals would be lovely as well. Repeat the image and whack on a ribbon and a sentiment…..wholah!

Card no 2

thinking of you 2This one is once again based on the last card and just a bit different…..I made four cards in this set…..such a fun designer suite……easy peasy to order the lot and then make a million different things from the designer paper – embossing folder – stamp set and punch…..I am as happy as a pig in mud playing with this new stuff!! You can order this new stuff online if you’d like by going here, or else just e-mail me and I can do it for you……

1. I am blogging with you again….I promise!! You will see some creations soon and I will continue to pledge my unwavering dedication to the 3 people who check in here every now and again!

2. YOU CAN NOW ORDER ONLINE!!! Just click here and you go straight to my demonstrator page where you can order online……advantages of that? Well….there is often a discount and you can shop the clearance rack for items that have retired (but of course you still love) and it will come directly to your door. I will still mount stamp sets for my valuable, local customers when we see each other – more incentive to catch up huh!. When you shop online – you need to select a demonstrator (me 🙂 ) to get the added discounts and offers……

3. MY DIGITAL STUDIO HAS BEEN RELEASED – this is an amazing program that allows you do all sorts of cool things on the computer (and is only $24.95 when ordered from my website) – makes traditional handmade cards even faster as some stuff can be done on the screen (heck – you can do the whole lot if you want!!) and then you can print it and finish the project off….now that really is the tip of the iceberg – it will make scrapbook pages in whatever size you want, it will do tags, swatchbook projects (so cool as brag books or for books for kids to flick through), calendars, home decor with organising labels etc……  I first downloaded the FREE TRIAL which you can also get here by clicking on the My digital studio on the left and click the free trial – it does take a long time but the trial is fully functional with enough content (the things you use to create your projects like paper stamps etc) to give it a good go and am downloading the full version now. I have quite tricky internet here – heck we can’t even use mobile phones at home so I really should have bought the disc version (which is obviously mailed out) but couldn’t wait LOL. The real versions comes with so much stuff on it – plenty to get creating and you can download things you want from here and pay a fraction of the price that the real products cost – so stamp sets for under $5….how cool….you an resize the images, flip them and use them in any colour we have available……..download the free one (you have 30 days to play) and give it a go……

If you want to know more about this product line – I am probably JUST ahead enough that I can answer your questions….I will continue to update you with the capabilities of this program and the cool things I/we create with it………..you can e-mail me on sharon@lvh.com.au if you need assistance.

Wishing you all a happy new year!

christmas treeI do hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. We have recently returned from the south coast and have avoided the fires at Bendalong and Sussex Inlet this time….something we haven’;t always managed to do…..After a frantic year I guess something had to give…and this year it was my Christmas cards – not a one got into the mail…in fact they didn’t even get made….I plan on sending some out in the next month to those I know and love. I do have some snaps of some memorable Christmas projects. If you look carefully at the tree you can see some spectacular gift tags produced with the amazing glimmer paper. This really made the project easy….bling was ready made and impacted the look of the tags dramatically. I have included a close up of one of the tags on a gift – all tags were different and I was very silly not to photograph them all. The other photo shows a pocket i constructed for the lottery tickets I bought my co-workers as a little gift. They were constructed beautifully from a sheet of the paper in the holiday stack – a great way to use up the last of that. My final picture below shows the kids in my family enjoying the novelty gift I gave them on Christmas Day……twas a great deal of fun. My kids are all there, along with my two nephews and my eldest sons girlfriend, Ellen.

ImageHere is a traditional shaped tag…gumball green in fact with some raspberry ripple and early expresso highlights. I guess this was CASED from the catalogue where it was used as a card design……so simply with snow swirled as the only stamp set used and the lovely dry embossing by the big shot and the clever use of the extra large oval punch to accent and provide the sentiment……what do you think of this one??

I am still HSC marking….half way through, life should return to normal next weekend…….I hope!! Then again….whats normal??
